As a first time parent what many dread is the years of parenting ahead of them. See that child throwing a tantrum in the middle of the mall? See that kid on the street bullying another kid? A person sees them with a frown; a parent sees them with worry! Parents want the best for their kids; they want to bring up the best individuals. And they worry that they may miss a step!
And then there is the one-upmanship. Every parent wants to be better than a fellow parent. They want their child to be better than a peer. But that is a sure step to disaster. Each child, each individual is unique and dances to a different tune. Each child needs to be loved, nurtured and tended like you would a plant. With the right care, the right handling and a lot of time you will eventually raise a well rounded individual.
And don’t be mistaken, there will be missteps; there will be plenty of worries, heart breaks and tears. There will also be plenty of proud moments, love, hugs and laughs. At the end of the day, your work as a parent will never be done; this is a hat you don for life. So how do we do it? Time alone is the answer. The quality of time you spend with your kids, shape their future. Be it the time spent rocking a baby in your arms, or chasing a toddler around the room. Be it the time you spend playing a game of cards, or talking to your teen. It is this quality time that you spend with your child that sets you apart and makes you a better parent.

The success of smart phones today can be attributed to its simplicity and ease of use. They are so intuitive and simple even babies can navigate it with ease. The advertisement showed a toddler operating the video camera on one of the smart phone devices to record something. That is where technology is heading today. Gone are the days of PCs and even wires. Technology is now pocket size.
I own an iPad. When I bought it never did I think that my kids would love it this much! My 1 yr old absolutely loves this toy. It is with reservations that I let her use it, but I have been won over. Technological marvels like the iPad and other smart phones offer something nothing else does. A sensory exploration! Every baby explores through his/her senses. They touch and experience, and the iPad has captured the essence of that!
But what about the time you spend with your kids? In this fast and furious world where both parents work and the kids spend most of their time away from home themselves, every minute counts. You don’t want to come home to a group of people with laptops and iPads each in their own world! So how do you give your child the best of both worlds? How do you spend quality time with your kid while she does something she loves?
The magic word is lapiluv. This unique apron straps on to a parents shoulder. It is the most amazing experience. With little plastic jackets for sliding in the iPad or smart phone, this apron is like no other. Your child can now sit on your lap, facing you while he/ she explores technology. You can experience the world of technology together or you can get some me time while your child stays safe in your arms! And when she tires of the iPad (like that is a possibility), there are other toys for her to touch and tug at!
Lapiluv is a toy that is designed to make parents lives easier, and kids happier. It is a tool that will bring families together. Go online and order yours today at www.lapiluv.com

Or so it seems! There is seriously a course conducted by Stanford for Kindergartners to 8th Graders. A friend of mine asked me if I am interested. Another friend sends her kid to a Learning Center called Kumon every Saturday. Like 5 days of school was not enough! And that’s all anyone can talk about – it’s a society of one-upmanship! Soon 2nd graders will be going to Harvard! So do I risk not sending my kid to one of these courses?
The school does behave like it already is Harvard anyway. My son is taking a vacation from school for two weeks. Well just short of 2 weeks actually. And the school wants me to sign “Independent Study” forms. They want me to sign a declaration saying that my son will be made to do school work every day during the vacation. Didn’t I just say vacation? And what’s more he needs to turn in the homework for the 2 weeks before he leaves on vacation.
This my friend is today’s world. My son was two and a half when another mom asked me “Can he write the alphabet?” I was surprised, but my son summed it up for me about 6 months later when I attempted to teach him “Mommy let me draw the wiggles, I will write A later”. However we live in this competitive society, the 2 yr old writer and 7 yr old Stanford graduate are going to be his peers. We are bringing our kids up in this world of achievers. We want to give our kids the best advantage they can have.
And we have the advantage of technology at our finger tips. When we brought home the iPad it was a cool gadget for the parents. Soon my son was downloading games and apps like Cool Facts and NASA. Needless to say I encouraged it. My baby daughter not to be outdone loves the doodle app and first school. However letting your one year old use an iPad has its disadvantages. While it is a given that the touch screen will be smudged and salivated upon, there is the fear that the iPad will be dropped and destroyed.
But there is a solution now and lapiluv is its name. Now my daughter can use the iPad when it is secure to me on an apron. How cool is that, I no longer have to fear that the iPad will get damaged. And what’s more, she can spend the time cuddling with me face to face. And all the while she is enjoying her favorite app, while her brain develops and grows. lapiluv is an indigenous tool that every parent will love. I have been writing since I was very young. Even as a little girl, I wrote short stories and made up colorful characters. My son reminds me of my childhood passion some days. He loves to draw and work on comic strips. He has written some really creative comic strips that has made me proud. Now back to my writing woes. There came a point in my life when I stopped to write. I became so busy in the rat race that all I wrote were grocery lists.
Then a day arrived when I couldn’t do it anymore. I hadn’t picked up a book to read, or picked up the pen to write in years! Eventually I quit my day job and decided to be a freelance writer. Even if all I wrote then were health and technology based articles, I was writing again and that had my heart singing! It’s been a few years since I rediscovered my passion and again I am threatened. With kids and their schedules the time never seems to be any time to write.
Usually when my son goes to the library or to football practice I carry my laptop. There at the football field I would sit cooped up in my car typing away! But I have a little munchkin who thinks she owns the world. She wants to swat at my laptop, climb onto my lap and cause collateral damage. Now if my writings were interspersed with “353rfgfegertwe5t43543542”, my clients were definitely not going to like it! I was faced with a dilemma.
And then I discovered lapiluv. Patricia Martin White has come up with this one of a kind tool to do just that! lapiluv is an apron that you can strap on to your shoulders. It carries a variety of toys that your baby can explore. The best feature is that it incorporates mobile technology in itself. Insert an iPad or an iPhone in one of the transparent pouches and watch your child explore the countless avenues of technology.
Now my daughter can remain in one of her favorite hang outs my lap. And I can do what I love most “Write”. We are both entertained and happy, and less grumpy at the end of the day! I can come home with a smile on my face, ready to take on the night! lapiluv is a miracle for us; bring home your miracle today at www.Lapiluv.com
The other day I started to write. It was a rare occasion in our household. At 8 PM the house was quiet, no super hero’s jumping into space, no toddlers attempting the chicken dance! There were 2 little munchkins fast asleep! I tried to watch some TV, but I have never watched any show that early, or in that quiet an environment. We usually watch shows or movies with necks craned and the volumes hitting the roof! So I curled in next to my little one and started to write!
15 minutes later, normally was restored! Nap over; the munchkins were out again accomplishing their daily duty of keeping parents on their toes! How often do you have peace and quiet in your household? The 15 minutes of watching my little one sleeping angelically gave me some time to think! And guess what I thought about? How I missed the noise and the action and the adrenaline rush when my daughter climbs on the coffee table and launches herself into air!
Active kids like yours and mine need some focus time. Time to sit down, relax and explore! Time to develop their brain and sharpen their senses. They need some Lapiluv time. Patricia Martin White has come up with this one of a kind tool to do just that! Lapiluv is an apron that you can strap on to your shoulders. It carries a variety of toys that your baby can explore.
The best feature is that it incorporates mobile technology in itself. Insert an iPad or an iPhone in one of the pouches and watch your child explore the countless avenues of technology. One of the biggest advantages this generation has is perhaps the advancement of technology. We now have the world at our fingertips thanks to mobile technology. Thousands if not millions of iPad apps are being developed keeping your little one in mind. Let your little one explore and learn with these apps. And what’s more she can stay on your lap while she discovers a whole new world! Bring home the love of togetherness; bring home lapiluv today at www.Lapiluv.com
It never ceases to amaze me what is available now for your baby’s entertainment. Even in the past five years, the gizmos and gadgets have become so cool and soooo entertaining (for the young and old)! Lapiluv is an activity center that is worn by an adult to entertain your baby. On those days when your baby does not want to be put down and wants to be carried everywhere, you become their toy! One side of this reversible apron is for the six attachable toys that come with the lapiluv. They are hooked on by link rings, and they are easy to change around, and add or remove new and old toys for variety. Flip it over, and it’s all about the technology. It has spaces for all of your techno gadgets, such as your iPad and smartphone. Download some baby-friendly apps, and you have hours of entertainment for you and your baby.
The great thing about lapiluv is that you’re not using these toys and tools for a babysitter. You are having face-to-face time with your precious child, sitting in your lap or cuddled in your arms. And lapiluv is great for trips on a plane, meetings you are attending, eating out at a restaurant or in a waiting room when you have an appointment. It comes with a carry bag that everything will fit into, and you can easily toss it into your diaper bag or purse. Lapilu is a great invention!
Check out www.lapiluv.com to see all the features of this activity center and to find out what gadgets are compatible with the media pockets. It is machine washable, made from soft denim and cotton, and retails for $69.99. Lapiluv would make a really cool and unique baby shower present for the new parents in your life!

I love watching and talking to kids. They give you a whole new perspective to life. You could be having a real dull and depressing day and all it takes is a child to brighten it up. While your children give you the reason to live and love, children around the world can teach you many things. Children have taught me to smile, laugh and enjoy the simple things in life. They have taught me to think outside the box, to think without restraint and that sky is the limit. They have taught me to dream and make my dreams real.
Every week we spend some time at the library. My son attends a reading club there and my daughter and I sit down to wait. Every week I spend this time typing furiously at my laptop, getting my work done. A friend brings her kids who play with my daughter and we catch up on work! Today my brain was playing tricks on me; I was having what we nicely call writer’s block. So I sat there hands poised over my laptop, eyes glazing over, mind blank. Around me kids jumped around.
My friend’s daughter walked up to me and started to strike a conversation. She is 5 and the sweetest girl I know. So we had a long chat about school, her dogs and Halloween. We talked about green witches and wizard of oz; about scarecrows and vampire princesses (apparently they exist and wear black tutus). And then we talked about IPhone games, that is where we both decided to split up and get to our respective tasks, she to her IPhone game and me to staring at my computer screen.
The miracle of today’s world is the IPhone and IPad. Apple’s Steve Jobs truly gave the world a gift. I have read so many articles about how IPad helps children learn and grow, that I started to believe in it myself. My little daughter loves the IPad. Patricia Martin White knew what was coming, and what kids of this era needed. So she invented lapiluv. Lapiluv is a unique apron that lets you hold your child and spend some quality time with her while she plays on her favorite game on the IPhone.
Now watching a cartoon or playing with a favorite app, can be more fun. Lapiluv also holds a variety of learning toys and tools on it. Spend quality time with your child as he explores the world of touch, feel and digital media. Share your love and make every playtime count. Bring home lapiluv. Order yours today at www.lapiluv.com.

And she had to get 3 shots on her thigh. It breaks my heart no matter how many times it is done. Watching your child cry is the hardest job we as parents have to go through. We know it makes your child feel better and its all for the good, but try telling that to my heart that skips several beats by the time we are done. We were out of the doctor’s office, and my daughter was calm again happy to have a little shiny sticker in her hand! But I was tired and exhausted after my hardest day of the week.
Every parent goes through days like this. The day you let your child run around in the park, you watch in absolute dread as the little feet totter through the park. And then the little munchkin totters and falters, your heart skips a beat and you run. Then she lands on her little butt and is up and running before you can blink. You can breathe again. This is the love of a parent. We love without inhibitions, without restraint and with no limit.
Patricia Martin White bore this love for her child ( now children, since she is expecting her number 2!). She wanted to allow parents to experience this love with their kids. She wanted them to love their child and bond with their child while the child learned and grew. She invented lapiluv. A unique apron that holds a plethora of learning toys and tools, lapiluv is a tool designed for curious little hands. And there is more, it is a toy of this generation, a toy from the digital era.
In this day and age, every child’s favorite toy is the ipad or the iphone. Lapiluv has not missed that fact, and it has transparent pockets to hold these digital toys. So now you can spend some face time with your child as he explores the digital world. You can feel and touch your little miracle, cuddle up with him and let him explore and learn new things even from your lap. The power of love; that is lapiluv. Order yours today at www.lapiliv.com.
I came home last night and turned on my IPAD. I read about Steve Jobs, dead at 56. It seemed so personal, I immediately called my husband to talk! Later in the night, the kids were tucked in and I went on to my daily ritual of mindless surfing. I went on facebook, it was all anyone to talk about. Twitter was buzzing with the passing on of Mr. Jobs. Years ago Apple had reached a slump and Steve Jobs was rehired. He revolutionized Apple, took on the world and redefined our lives – Yours and Mine.
After the marvelous IPOD he went on to revolutionize Mobile technology with IPhone. More recently he created a new niche in the market with IPAD. Things I can’t live without anymore, things my family can’t live without it appears. As I type this my 15 month old daughter sits beside me playing Xylophone on the IPAD.
I recently read an article http://www.letschatautism.com/2010/10/20/ipad-benefits-for-children-with-special-needs/ about IPAD helping kids with special needs. Mr. Jobs had said in an interview that that its use in therapy wasn’t something Apple engineers could have foreseen. He also went on to say that emails from parents resonate with him and researchers should look into what was going on and the potential of IPAD.
I was skeptical though about introducing my kids to mobile technology and tablet technology. I am not a gaming kind of mom and am paranoid over the fact that my kids will move further away from me with lack of personal contact. Perhaps Patricia Martin White was thinking the same thoughts as well when she invented Lapiluv. This indigenous toy is actually an apron. Made of comfortable cotton or durable denim this straps on to the parents shoulder.
Aimed at promoting closeness and bonding among family, this unique Apron lets your child play while on your lap. The see through pockets on the apron are ideal for IPhone and IPAD. Now you can stay close and interact with your child as she plays. Share your love for technology while you share your love for each other. That is the purpose of lapiluv. Bring home one today at www.lapiluv.com. Be sure to watch the demo videos and testimonials from parents around the world. Go to www.lapiluv.com.
The world awaited with bated breath for the news about IPhone 5. Many was disappointed when IPAD 4GS was announced. Some were just excited about a new generation of IPhone. There will be lines outside apple stores next week as people clamor to hold the first of the new IPhones. “I will be one of those people” my internet technician told me the other day. He was not able to stop talking about the IPhone. That is the power of apple.
I must say I am more practical. I worry about stock prices when the news hit the market. Apple are sure my favored stock! My kids on the other hand love IPAD and IPhone. When we bought an IPAD it was not supposed to be a gaming toy. It was supposed to be a mini browsing/ reading tool. But soon we have lost it to gaming. Our kids own the IPAD now, and I have been wondering if I should just go and buy the next gen IPAD for myself.
Even my 1 yr old infant thinks the IPAD is cool. She loves the IPhone and its multitude of baby games. In this day and age, technology has become an integral part of life and development. So I thought why not embrace it better and invest in a toy that can bring technology and my baby closer. And in bringing them closer keep me from being alienated. Keep my baby close and entertained? Give me the face to face time with my baby while she plays with the IPhone? Is that really possible?
Now it is with lapiluv. This unique apron lets parents wear it on their shoulder and keep the baby on their lap facing them. All while the baby explores the digital world of IPhone and IPAD. True to its name, lapiluv is a tool for the lap made with love. Patricia Martin White a mom and entrepreneur invented this toy so parents over the world can bond with their children during play time. This toy brings families together. Which is why it was voted editors pick by www.toydirectory.com. Order yours today at www.lapiluv.com and bring love home.
